Canton native
John Sullivan is new owner of Nantucket Marine, Inc.
Canton
native John N. Sullivan recently purchased Nantucket Marine Inc,
the exclusive distributor of Boston Whaler boats on Nantucket
Island.
Sullivan
moved to Nantucket in 1995 to accept a marine mechanic’s
position at the company. He was promoted to service manager in
1999 and then in 2004 to marine division manager. The company
until recently was a division of Outdoor Power Equipment Inc.
Nantucket
Marine sells, services and stores over 200 boats at its new
facility on Sun Island Road.
Sullivan
graduated from Canton High School in 1983. He served in the U.S
Air Force and Massachusetts Air National Guard and was
discharged at the rank of staff sergeant. He attended UMass
Boston and graduated from Northeast Institute of Industrial
Technology in Boston.
Sullivan
lives on Nantucket with his wife, Marie, a native of Ireland,
and their 3-year-old daughter, Hannah. He is the son of John
and Margaret Sullivan of Highland Street.
