CHS senior
long distance runner Alyse Rocco finished her high school
running career with a flourish as she finished fourth among 13
of the top high school milers in the nation in the Emerging
Elite Mile event held in North Carolina last weekend. Rocco
finished with a time of 5:05.4; the winning time was 4:59. Her
father, Tom, who saw the race, said Rocco ran very well and held
second place for most of the race.
Rocco will
now start training for cross country at Brown University as a
freshman. She plans to run indoor and outdoor track at the Ivy
League school.
